Don't let your resume keep you stuck in the past.
Most people's resumes - particularly those in a chronological format - keep them stuck in the past by presenting only a narrow slice of their capability- mostly related to previous degrees, majors, tasks, duties and titles. Resumes that look backward not forward can keep you in a rut.
Don't farm out your future by having others try to do your resume for you. A good personally prepared resume - with some editing and formatting help- is always more powerful than one prepared by a third party.
In The Resume Kit we encourage you to avoid the "me too" approach to resume writing, and make your aspirations for the future one of the critical elements in your plan. To go for jobs right out of school that start the path not only to income and growth but also personal satisfaction and rewards.
